Anybody interested in trying to start a manual library.  Not sure what the legal standpoint is on this, but I would think that as long as you don't sell them there shouldn't be any problems.  I'm in need of a manual as others are I'm sure.  I'd be willing to scan the manuals and save them in a pdf format for others.  Just a thought.

I am fortunate to have all the manuals for our 345 including the genset and all.  I would also scan them in if their is a need.

I would love to create a library. Not sure about the copywrite issues. I've always admired the library on thesamba.com

Would there be an issue if it was not for profit?

I would think the same thing, but I'm no lawyer.  I would start it but I don't have any manuals so I'll have to leave up to ya'll to get it started.  I'm willing to help anyway I can, just let me know.

I have the resource download thing already setup. Right now all you can download is the logo of this site, but my thought was to allow people to post PDF's of different manuals, etc.

If anyone wants to scan one in, we can try it. I'll make sure it's a "members only" feature as well so it's not available to the general internet from our site.

I will get an opinion from my Lawyer Wife, but I think its no problem as long as they're not for sale.

Well, that didn't take long.  Copyrights are never ending for cooperations and we would be in violation unless Airstream granted us the right to display them with a disclaimer that the site is not affiliated with them in any way.  Doesn't seem likely since they sell manuals themseves.

My Wife actually went on the web with several other Attorneys to get their opinions as well and they all agreed.

What we could do is offer to e-mail copies to someone who requests them.  Individual to individual should be okay.

Maybe Steven could keep them on the site's server and if you need a copy you can just request one from him.  I don't think you can get the manuals from Airstream anymore, you have to get them from some other person and even then the manuals are nothing like the originals.  I'm willing to help anyway I can just let me know what you need.
