Just thought I'd respond....

V-8? Do you mean the engine or the tomato juice stuff? Hmm, a barstool made out of tomato juice...must be the frozen kind, then...

Sorry, I couldn't resist! :)

We do have a blender powered by a chainsaw motor. It makes real good margaritas while boon docking. I am not real sure about a 454 powered bar stool. I think I would have to have a few before my brain would say why not, you only live once..

Roadhazzard--I saw a automotive show right after you talked about the bar stools where they put one together and drove it.
That thing would take bar hopping to a wonderful new level. How about a bar toad?
Wonder if they come in 4 wheel drive?Right after I find the motor home I want the pennies get saved for one.
Thank you for the heads up or I wouldn't have watched.

Steve saw that show also. Don't know about 4X4 . Kind of short on the wheel base. I would like to find out more about the land speed record. Don't know if you have to have full interior or not. I don't think 102 MPH would be to hard to beat. That Discoverer 25 looks like with the right mods just might get there. Maybe a 426 Hemi or 2? The semi truck record is 132 so should not be a problem with aerodynamics. Of course you could always put a jet engine in it Boy!! winter is bad for the bank account. LOL

Rick--The 4x4 idea may be over the top but one can only dream. You are are so right. It doesn't seem that 102 miles an hour is extreme.A discoverer 25 with the right mod such as fairings to streamline the body and as you said a 426 hemi unless you have to use a factory supplied engine to qualify.
A 413 is not to be laughed at.Some of Chryco's best engines at the drag strip in the 60's were based on the car version of this engine. They were over shadowed by the 426 Hemi as I remember which not many could beat.

Yes indeed the 413 max wedge was a real power house of a motor. I think the 1962 Dart with the max wedge was really the first muscle car not the GTO. The only non Mopar we own is the motorhome that we have now. Our first Chevy powered RV. Don't think you have to have factory engine because they used a 454 Chevy in the GMC and it came with a 455 Olds.

Rick--You are on the money about the weather. We are breaking 50 year old records here in B.C. That means
Bloody Cold.
We normally get a bit of snow and a few cold days but this has gone on for over 10 days.Temps in the low 20's instead of the low 40's and our famous rain.
Chev. had 348/409's but there was one guy who had a 62/63 small Dodge in Toronto that had a 413 with a ram induction carb system on it and he had to move around the city to keep finding peple to race him.I think he finally had to go to the drag strip and do it right.Never saw the car but from what I heard once you saw it in action you never forgot it.One guy called it a terror.
Your on, 426 Hemi it is.Guess a blower puts it in another class.
Saw a really good deal on a class A in Seattle. Good price, low miles, better older brand⏠].Was going to call up untill I saw,16-17-city,24-25hyw.with a 440 Dodge!
Please correct me if I'm wrong and please don't feel you need to be kind but I did get a really strong scent of barn yard when I read that. Really heavy on the horse scent.
Steve.

Steve Yea a real strong scent for sure. I have calss a p-30 chassis 454 turbo 400 with gear vendors overdrive and engine mods ,the best i can get about 10.7 highway would hate to see city. The max wedge came with 2 fours on a cross ram manifold. Off the show room floor a max wedge dart would run mid 14's.
