Hi! a get together would be nice...it seems that many of the members are from the frost bitten north so we do not have many posts from the South. I'm in East Texas and know of other RV'rs in this area and in South La. I have heard about a RV park up on Lake Sam Rayburn that has some goor reviews. With the price to run my 345 being .67cents per mile with gas at $3.25 I'm not anxious to roam too far from home. |

Great to meet y'all. I don't suppose you realize that I say "y'all" with a British accent. !! Immigrated here, with my daughter, in 1963. I will be driving the Coachmen on it's 'shake down cruise' this weekend. First to San Antonio to look at a little MH that needs to be worked on, and then to New Braunfels, to meet a fulltimer chat friend. The TransStar will be going to Cleveland, TX next week to pick up some lumber that I can't get it in the Coachmen. So I do get to use my RVs, they have to work, just like me. Happy Trails, Penny, TX. |

Penny, I grew up with a British accent y'all!! My mother was a Brit. Never lost the accent. I got none of it. What a flashback. Hope you get to see some bluebonnets on your trip. Larry |

I still have my British accent after living here for 8 yrs, they sure do get a kick out of it in SW Georgia. Maybe we should start a thread for expat brits who own vintage US MHs :) I enjoy living in the US and am eligible to become a citizen in May. Just a matter of a form or two, some greenbacks and few US history questions, like 'who wrote the star spangled banner?' |

I can still understand a British accent better than a lot of the americans I come accross.

I made the trip to a little place between Boerne and Blanco, in the B. The RV that I went to look at, was just too ratty. It would cost too much to bring it up to snuff. Why would folks let a nice little RV like that go to rack and ruin.
If I hadn't had to keep my eyes on the winding hilly road, I would have seen some more of the beautiful scenery. They have some steep hills there, and then you go down the other side !! The trip went great, I wish I could have spent more time there.
Yesterday, I took the TransStar to the job site and loaded up all the lumber, tools and ladders, and I had it packed full. It drives differently from the B, as it has duals.
Hi y'all with the British accents too. Good to hear from other "Limey's" here in USA.
