Your frigid north is cooler than mine. We get temps in the ninties all the time in the summer. Also used it a lot traveling in the south.

We are near the coast, the summers have been weird. We do get 90's but only a few days of it. I head for our camp in the Mountains when that weather hits. 1300 feet elevation, it rarely goes above 85 and even more rare to be above 70 in the evenings.

When I worked in DC and lived in Virginia I did the same. Either the beach or the mountains. Here in Minnesota when it gets hot, it gets hot all over. Did you know that we have mountains in Minnesota? Not too many people do. They're not high enough to cool you down though and the mosquitos would eat you alive.
