Hi All. My Airstream 280 Classic has a battery switch mounted on the side of the inside step (inside the coach). I haven't really looked at it closely yet (MH is in Oregon/I'm in Calif). Was this switch standard issue? Does anyone know what it is for and why I would use it?

Thanks
Dean

Dean,
Mine (Airstream 345) has two switches. One was factory and cuts off the coach batteries from the house circuit and the other was added by the previous owner to cutoff the chassis battery. I've gotten in the habit of cutting off both when I'm not using the coach since there are so many power drains in my coach. (I also hope that it might fumble a thief)

I have a shutoff switch for the house batteries but need one for the coach batteries. Steven can you post a pic of the shutoff for the chassis batteries? Just interested to see where its installed. Is there anyway to use one shutoff switch for both the chassis and house batteries? Something is draining the chassis battery and I can't figure out what it is.

Thanks everyone! The MH is still parked at my dad's house in Oregon. I'm actually going up there this weekend. I'll take a pic of the switch when I get there.

Thanks
Dean
