Oh yeah, one thing to look for, the Brass fittings degrade. I found 3 that needed to be replaced, cracked when I removed them. Just a thought...

Chris, Thanks for all your assistance!!!, I will give the furnace another tug or two this am, we are going to be cleaning the ceiling and walls today, we just received the new curtains for Sammie (from Silver Threads on airstreamforums) and we need to test fit them, they look great.  I will be putting down a new floor as well, we haven't decided on which style yet, something rustic to go with the rest of the renovation. I may take a look at getting to the shower valve if I have time today as well.  I will post later with results.

I put down a Purgoe floor in our 345 last Spring and it looks great.  The only trouble with Purgoe and that type of flooring is that they don't stand up to water well.  So far though, the floor has stood up great and still looks like new in spite of lots of sand and mud being tracked in on it.  Also a very large black lab dog.  Just getting the old carpet out of there and putting in the red oak look flooring made a huge difference.  Also refinished the cabinetry at the same time.

Well finally got it loose thanks to Joy, she climbed over and down a snowbank that is along the side of Sammie.  The problem was the flange on the bottom pipe where they exit the sidewall, it was held firmly in place by some corrosion where the flange slides into the furnace.  Tomorrow I will clean it up and reinstall.  I still think I may have a voltage related problem although, today I noticed the negative wire from the univolt to the fuse panel was getting very hot.  I found the connections in the fuse panel where the fuse holders connect to the buss bar were not as tight as they should be, quite loose actually.  I have already ordered a new converter to replace the univolt.  I went with a Parallax Para-Mode unit.   I think I will just order a new fuse panel as well and replace the whole package.  I don't think I will do a functional test until I have the new converter and fuse panel installed, that hot wire really bothers me.  Should be done by next weekend.  I will keep you posted.

Great job Mark. Know you could do it!

While you have the unit out, you can hook it up to a 12v supply and just touch the thermostat wires together to see how it is working. I would not hook up the gas line. You should see if the fan comes on like it should and the igniter should fire off after about 15 to 20 seconds.

See you took up the carpet.

SWEET - I got heat. Removed the outside vent cover and found TWO wasp nests about 4 inches back in the intake tube. A specially modified wire removal tool (bent coat hanger) and the furnace kicked right off. I think there was enough blockage to keep the sail switch from moving.
Scratch that off the "to-do" list, That only leaves the headers, high volume oil pump, mechanical oil pressure gauge, new velvac mirrors, headlamp replacement, fog light install and I'm ready to go CAMPING!!!!

Found that the fuse panel has to be replaced due to corrision and broken barriers. Still looking for the best replacement. Furnace appears to be ok. Starting to belive problem was voltage/amperage related. Will know soon and let you all know how it turns out.
