 Has anyone had any experience with this tire pressure monitoring system I like it because it also gives tire temperatures, which from my old over the road days, I consider just as important as pressure. It is a little cheaper than the others too. I am considering ordering it for my eight tire motorhome.

I have a unit coming in the mail as I sit here. Ordered it on Friday.

It does not monitor temp but I figured that if the pressure was correct, the temp would also be correct. Temp rises if the tire is underinflated. ( or on fire, but I will not go there)

I have looked at that one as well.  From my old truck driving days I remember that if a tire overheats they often blow.  It is a really good indicater that the pressure is low.  I used to just feel of my tires rather than hit them with the hammar.  If one was hotter than the rest than I would check it.

The one I'm looking at is quite a bit cheaper and evidently used by truckers.  Just trying to get some feed back on it. 

We were enroute home from Door County, Wi, a couple years ago when we blew out a set of duels.  I believe one had lost pressure and when it went took the other with it.  Twenty miles from nowhere. 

We sat and fixed lunch while waiting for a mobil tire changing truck to arrive.  I think that if I had known that a tire had gone down, I probably could have saved the whole deal.  Got a little spendy.  We were just lucky that we found one cause it was a holiday.

have thought about them for our MH. with the cost of tires, which will go up and up as the cost of oil continues to climb, they cost savings could be very significant.

Thanks.  So I did use the Rip Off Report and found nothing.  I had previously done some searches on the web and found no complaints either.  The system is by far the most economical and also does the tire temp, so unless someone adds something, I think I will order it.

Guess what?  The unit finally came today five weeks after I ordered it.  I had checked on the company and found many unhappy people who had ordered the unit and were waiting.  One clear voice had warned to be patient as their's had arrived after five weeks.  Seems the units are so popular that they are on back order. 

The unit itself is quite small and packed with software.  You can set pressure and tempature limits and it will automatically sound an alarm if they are exceeded.  The company also says they will replace any sensors lost or stolen. 

Well, have to get it unstalled and take a trip to see how well it works.

Found some more info on the Safte Tire Pressure Monitoring system.  Also learned on RV/Net that I was not alone waiting for my unit.  Looks like they changed the sensors and it took some time to supply the new ones to everyone.  Haven't installed them yet.

I have been doing a lot of reading about the "Safte Tire Pressure Monitoring system" and am now convinced it is a good system.  The vendor now has a ready supply and they are shipping the units quickly, but the price is going up.  Some talk of a "Father's Day Sale" on the web. 

Have connected with several happy owners.  They report that the system is extremely accurate and easy to set up and use.  Being able to read tire temps is certainly a plus.  Installation and setup are quite easy.  I guess my original doubts were wrong.
