I just had my fuel tank sending unit rebuilt.
Does anybody know what the voltage from the gauge should be?
I want to check, before I hook it up and wreck the new one.
Oh yeah my M.H. is a 75 argosy.[p 30]

I am also moving my tank forward about 6" so I can shorten the fill pipe.
It is hard to gas up at some pumps,I am hopeing this will help.
Its painfull enough to pay for the gas

Thanks everybody! I love this M.H. only sight!!

Bibbs,
Not sure on the votage...should be a standard GM spec. On the tank, you must be re-plumbing but make sure your vent is clear and not kinked. I've read about a few people who've had trouble with closed vents and slow fills.

Oh yeah, welcome aboard.

I'm only assuming that it is 12 volt as that is what feeds the dash.  I suppose there could be a resister in line somewhere that I'm not aware of.  By the way.  WELCOME ABOARD!

Thanks Im glad to be aboard!

older gauges have a resistor on the back [white block kinda thing] that reduces the voltage. right now it reads 8 volts the guy told me it should be 5-6v wish I knew for shure.

I havent figured out how to post pictures yet .[sorry] when I do-------you will get plenty!

I am re plumbing the tank. It has Two vents, one at each end,the PO disconected the hose that went to the carbon canister,"T"ed them together and conected them to the spit tube on the filler neck.I dont know what I should do with this mess either?

thanks for the Quick answers its a 75 26'

Welcome aboard Doug.

I have hooked up fuel gages straight out of the box and did not have to put any resistors on the power feed. Just run the 12v to the gage and use the proper Ohm sending unit for the gage to it. For GM sender, 0-90 Ohms (from 1965).

Good luck with the set up. I need to drop my tank at some time, just not looking at dropping a 65 gallon tank, and getting to hoses that you can't hardly see to do it!
