Hey Steve, Thanks for the input. printed the page out. if i didn't have a lot of air travel to do as well i would think about doing it myself. your instructions and crystal clear. alas, we want o get on the rad after almost 6 months of taking care of old problems and repairs and just want to get it done. found a truck shop close by that says they can do the work. they say it might be hard to source the bags. turns out the bags aren't leaking afterall but since they are cracked and look like originals and we plan on putting at least 30,000 on it over the next year or so i am going to have them replaced anyway. the chevy shop in jax, fl has a rv wrench but they are expensive, 139/hr. don't know if you would get what you pay for or overpay for what you get there. i think you posted 3 pages of diagrams on the airstream forum some time ago. i can't blow them up enough to make anything out. do u have them in another form or a larger scan that i can give to the shop? swear i can't locate the fuses. Hope it helps you out.
You might want to go ahead and call American Carrier, and have them send you an manual for your air ride and Henchman system. Worth the money, a few buck to have it at hand. I did not do the post of the manuals that you mention. Do not have the ability to scan a doc for posting at this time.
Thanks for the advice on the shields. I have issues to fix from PO's not having them at the muffler and will need to fix some wiring. Will be putting a shield around the starter while I'm at it.
If you have a chance to take some photos of your exhaust system, would love to see it. Also can you take some shots of the old air bags. I would like to include them in the DIY. |

Good deal.
Sorry! Don't know where it is! I think that it would be a re-setting breaker. I have run a 6 gage wire back to mine, using a 30 amp fuse running off the house battery's. I use the OEM line to power the relay so the ignition switch still controls the compressor. The compressor was listless with the OEM line, too much voltage drop, but now runs like it should and don't get as hot!
Some one here with a 345 should be able to answer the location for your breaker or fuse. |

| Hey CMAD,
Just ordered 5412's for the 345. hope they're the right ones. Seems the shop can't make out the numbers. Have any idea if the 345 uses the 5412's and not the 5405s? |

| of course that refers to the airbags, not the headers. |

Unless the Henchmen set up is different, which I don't think it is, the 5412 will be the right bags. The 5405 does not have the inter stop to keep the carrier from going to far down when the air pressure drops.
My info does not call for any other bag for the Henchmen units. |
