Hey Andre!  Glad you had a great time.  Rain here today.  We need it and we're getting a good soaker.  Been near eighty for a couple days.

Still cleaning those fire damaged guns.  Got half of them done and hope to finish the rest this week.  Next, on to the reblueing people for the barrels.  That smoke was very caustic.  The stocks are just covered with soot, but the barrels where they were exposed have the bluing eaten fight off.

Only way to cut that stuff of is with paint thinner.

We had 4 MH's there! 2 Vintage, 310 and a 325 and 2 late 90's

We have a Cutter that wants to join us here? They are uncertain if they are eligible?

My neighbor owns a furniture refinishing company and does insureance adjustments after fires.  The guns were in a home that had a large electrical fire and the smoke became so caustic that it ate the blueing off the barrels where the forearm didn't protect them.  None of the wood was damaged.  It was just the caustic smoke.  Imagine breathing that!!

He brought me thirteen rifles and shotguns that were coated in soot and grime to be cleaned.  I take them down and clean them thoroughly and the insurance pays for it..

Great time in Hawassee, GA at the Springstream. Great people, weather, campground and food. We had 4 Motor Homes there.

We were the first stop on the home tour!

Here is some shots of the bamboo floor we showed off! Notice that we no longer have the parquet battery hatch. It is now part of the floor you just lift up to get to the battery's.

I also milled the bamboo for the furnace vents and intake under the sink! Used the bamboo for the trim under the couch and sink. Did the same in the rear area.
