| I'm not sure if I qualify as a RVer, because I live in a 5th wheel, and so far, I do not have a way of moving it. My co-habitants are my 9yr old Labrador Retriever, and my 14 yr old cat. I am interested in this forum because RVs have their own set of problems that are hard to address by asking someone in a hardware or DIY store. My residence is a 1997 35' Komfort with 3 slide-outs. After I purchased it I found some floor damage in the largest slide-out, where the side wall meets the floor, there is a soft spot which was wet during the winter rains. I know this means that there is water coming inside the wall from somewhere, but I am not sure what is the best way to find where the water is coming from and how to repair the floor. I had a similar problem when I was living in a Manufactured home with a tip-out, so would I approach it the same way? Any input from someone who has addressed this type of problem, or any books that you know about would be welcome information. Grem |

Well, welcome aboard. You will find lots of info here that will work with a fifth wheel too. Just pose your questions and sit back and wait. The members will find you. |

| I'm a new member. So is the chat room not available this summer? I admit I'm disappointed (but not grumpy about it!) I am so desperate for advice on my aged mother's RV, how much to sell it for given all the receipts she's saved on it. Thank you. Cathy |

Cathy, Welcome. The chat room is always open but scheduled chats are a little light during the camping season. I would post questions in the forums. People here are really good about getting post answered pretty quickly. |

While we do have a lot of motorhome owners here everyone is welcome. Post your questions on the forums and you'll get answers quickly.

| I just typed a long intro, and it went into the internet void. Lovely. Ok, short version: Hello, my name is Deborah, and my partner's name is Ed (he's my service dog). We love to travel. Just bought a 1973 Dodge Sportsman mini-motorhome. Can find any info or service manuals on it; need help/parts. |

| Deborah, wlecome to the site. Can you tell us more about the chassis for your motohome? It's a Dodge? I assume you have a class C on a Dodge Van chassis? |

Hi I am Sharon a new Member, quick version as well...like Deborah I lost my stuff...lol writing from Australia, my husband and I , wanting to buy a restored GMC motor home 26ft to travel in for 12 months..Have been checking the web, and stumbled on this site.. We are coming into LA first week in September, will be visiting friends in Tucson, we want to buy something asap... it is not terribly urgent but would be nice. We do not want a fixer upper for obvious reasons, we just love the older MH's, especially the GMC 26ft.. If anyone has any ideas where one may be hiding ...would be much appreciated. my email is shazartist@gmail.com. Cheers Sharon |

Hi, my name is Jason and my wife's name is Carlee. We recently purchased a 24' Class C Dodge motorhome and have begun the restoration process. We took it out last weekend for our first trip and found some of the "basic" bugs that need to be worked out. We both love camping but since we recently had a little girl added to our family ( 8 months old now) our little camper just didnt seem to be big enough. We were thrilled with all the space at first, but as the weekend went on we found out how important it is to keep everything stowed where it goes. I have virtually no experience as an RV enthusiast, but I am sure that as I develop. firsthand knowledge through good ole trial and error, perhaps I will be as enthusiastic about RV'ing as the next guy
