Hello From Dallas! I just stumbled accross this site while researching information to help me install some new front air bags. (excellent how-to by the way) My wife and I just got our hands on our first RV I have wanted one forever but could never afford one but thanks to the magic of the internet (and craigs list) We are now the proud owners of a 33ft 1988 Fleetwood Bounder! Needs a lot of work but thats ok its paid for! She only has 51,000 miles on the ol' 454 runs real strong and shifts smooth as silk but the suspension is a whole other matter. It bottomed out so hard when driving it home I thought she would shake apart before even getting there! So first thinks first I am replacing the shocks and airbags this weekend. Then the tires are next. I am sure I will have a million questions as I go and look forward to posting my restoration progress as I go. Thanking all in advance ;o) John |

Hello to everyone. What a great website. I got steered here from airstream forums whilst searching for info about rear airbags. I had one blow out, my fault, I delayed replacing knowing they were cracked. I saved probably 200 bucks by finding the parts number for the mobile repair guy. What a break that was. Also I was 40 miles from Fresno, where the manufacturer is based.
At any rate, for three years now I am the proud second owner of a 1981 Airstream Excella 28 ft. MH, turbo charged Isuzu diesel. I had previously owned a '91 29 ft. excella trailer.
I am not much of a handyman but as we are recently retired and living full time in the MH I am going to have time to do my own work now so expect to hear from me with a lot of questions.
Greg

Greg, welcome aboard. You are a lucky owner to have an Isuzu 280. Great coach with a great engine. Post some pics when you get a chance.
As far as questions...please ask away. We're all here to help. |
