We have to figure out a way to keep the visitors here and convince them to join.

Granted probably only 10% are rv owners but that is still 90.

My 2 cents says there should be more seperate headings for all the different types of motorhomes and trailers so that owners of the different models can see theirs and contribute. Some may remain blank for a while but to see only a few different brands may make them go elsewhere thinking this is a closed forum to just a few.

Hello, and thanks for having me!  I'm a 53 year old male.  I'm unmarried, retired, and living on Social Security Disability after fighting esophageal cancer, among other things, for almost 6 years.  I recently purchased a 1988 Skyline Lindy Class C Mini Motorhome built on a 1987 Chevrolet G30 chassis.  I am now (with much, MUCH physical help) in the process of refurbishing the coach.  I have lived in RVs at several times in my life and am looking forward to making this one my full-time home.  Although I am physically capable of mostly independent living, I have stayed with family members for the last 5 years (after spending over a year in different hospitals) and I (and they) look forward to my having a mobile guest room to travel to and from different locations.  I look forward to corresponding with all the folks on this site.

Actually, life is GREAT!! I wasn't trying to imply otherwise, just giving some background. But I just re-read it and it did sound pretty whiny.... sorry. I'm actually a very happy, lucky, blessed, camper. Thanks for the welcome!! I promise not to be a downer anymore!

Not yet.... I'd take some right now but it's raining AND she's getting a state inspection done.  I also will need to figure out how to post them...

Missed the music question about music.  Sorry.  Yes.  Actually I like almost all music.  I was a professional musician for over 30 years.  Still capable of playing somewhat, and am giving guitar lessons to my nephew.  It's occupational therapy for me.

Sign of the times...I made run up I-20 to Dallas and then back to Tyler....180 miles round trip and only passed 3 motorhomes...one class c and 2 class A's. I guess even with the holiday weekend many RV'ers are staying close to home because of the cost. I'm beginning to wonder if this inflated fuel market will pass or are we destined to keep the pockets of the speculators overflowing. I recently read that the retirement furn for the California Muni workers is actually borrowing money to invest in oil futures. Could be playing with fire but what do I know?
Thanks, Pete
