Hi there, It is good to be back again! We went down Monday and got back today and I am not a happy camper as A&E have screwed up again. We had the controler but was missing the harness and the wind sensor. They got it in and the rest of the stuff to finish it and they hooked up the first mother board and ...Nothing!!! No lights ..Nothing!!!! plug in the other controller and The remote control will halfway bring out the awning and will close it up ok..The door switch will not work and the switch key when turned on to start up the coach is supposed to retract the awning and lock it so it can't be openned!! That won't work right. Ity will let you manuely let you push teh button on the remote to retract the awning but you can't get it to do it by itself. and the lockout for the awning is working right by not letting out the awning when the key is turned on.We talked with A&E and they say the motherboard is faulty and they are sending a new one out to us. I havn't had the time to do much with the trooper other than call it the "Tank". Deb has another name but I can't post it here...Snow B****!!!! Nuff said?? I can work on that this coming week at a friends as the big tools like welders and stuff like that are there and I can make mounts for the hitch and get the wiring harness installed and get the brake system installed but they are busy till monday and I have a doctors appointment tomorrow so I need the trooper to get there. Nothing much otherwise to say so have a good one and i will get back at it again!!! Dan

Hi there, Well, I have put most everything on hold right now. I have been doing some things for the truck but nothing on the coach and looks like another summer without travel...again!! The testing done in November and December on me came back and two of the tests came back positive...Nothing set in stone but could be cancer. Am going in for more tests Tuesday and will know by Friday if it was Positive for cancer We will take it from there. Nothing to do till then as I have To clense the body tract out and then drink all this bottles of white powder and there is another that i take Monday evening and then i have a friend drive me down and bring me home adn play the waiting game till Friday. I just can't seem to catch a break anymore!!! I will let you know how it goes when i find out. Dan

Hi all, I haven't got the results back yet but no news usially is good news!! I'm glad that part is done!! I have had the coach on hold and now I am going to work on it this year and maybe in the fall we can do what we had planned this year. I got poor with the truck and took our funds from teh trip so its work on the coach and travel later. I have most of the truck done but a few things need to finish it. Can't complain as it only set me back a $1000, but I had a really nice truck and still having withdraw. The trooper should be better when finished. The coach will be nice when finished too! I have added a few pictures to the Picasa site. The truck was damaged when the owner had a stroke and was trying to get off the road and hit a fence post! I am getting the bumper and drawbar ready to install this week and our old truck should be in recycling heaven by the end of the week! I guess thats it for now, Thanks for the support while this is happening to me and I hope tomorrow a good news day!! Will check in later, Dan

When we first saw Dusty, we said she was very dusty and the inside and the outside always has looked ..dusty.The name stuck!! We have had severial toads and had names for them but only one dusty too! And it is retired. I call the new toad "Tank" and the other half calls it Snow Bi!**!!! I am still getting used to it. I am coming around slowly but I get attached to them and then when they go, I feel like I lost a friend. Must be getting simple in my older age!! We have had severial good toads and the journeys with them still fresh in my mind. Part of my problem is I like the "older" cars and trucks out there. And the motorhomes too! Sometimes I wish I could have a small piece of ground with a garage on it and a place for the Motorhome to park and I could get the tools for rebuilding the trucks and cars we have had like our real Jeep!!! A 1947 CJ 2!! we called it old blue!! Our jeep Comachee pickup⏢] was called O'le gray! My Mazda was an original in that it wasn't built by ford and it wasn't a Ranger rip off!! it was a 87. Now we have this 1990 Isuzu Trooper and here we go again!! If I could I would have kept all of those vehicles!! And as we could find the parts then we could have redone each one of them!!! I guess I have a problem with letting go?? I got the lights fixed and have a old broken light for the right side front and sealed it with silicone and it will work till I can find one in the salvage yards!! The grill will be replaceed soon and the light too!! I am not going to pay 250 for a new grill and 105 for a turn signal light!! Thats what salvage yards are for!!! some think I am a few quarts shy of a oil change and they can think what they want, But I am not paying 300+ a month for a car and over 800 a month for a motorhome and ???for the insurance!!! Don't know how the retired folk do it!!! What I have is payed for and the insurance is ok! even full coverage and fulltimers coverage!! And it gives me something to do when we run out of things to see and do wherever we are!!! Anyway, I got to get off the soap box and get back to do'in what I like to do. Travel!! Later all, Dan When I get some pictures I will post a couple. |
