| FYI - After PMing each other I think I may have accidentally deleted Klattu's post about WBCCI. My bad, nothing was intentionally deleted. My apologies! |

Man, one thing that really gets me is the constant rebuttal
to a post. I have been refraining to offer any help to some questions because
of it. Always a snide comment, I’m a freekin Maintenance Analyst for cripe
sakes! Ya think I’d steer someone down the wrong path…. There, I feel better,
thanks for listening…. |

I know. I was an aircraft and
helicopter mechanic in the military as well as a flier and I am
astonished at some of the things said on that forum. I wish this
one was growing faster cause I think it could be a really good thing.
I don't care what information you give on that other one, someone will
debate it. I do belive that is all the life some of them
have. Sad, isn't it?

It is sad, and frustrating. Se la vie
Yes I agree, although I do not use my MH exclusively this is a wonderful place to get help and ideas, not contaminated by "the cub"
I PM'd Kent, he is not interested. too bad.... |

I think it's a situation where something got too big too fast. Seems like the membership has grown quickly since I joined (four years ago). It's become a little impersonal on a few levels and obviously very political on others. Early on people just helped people. If you asked the same question asked forty times before, someone would still take the time to answer it. Now, new members asking repeat questions just get a "use search" reply.
It's also become way to club oriented. I stopped going to tuesday chats over there because it was like I wasn't even in the room. Inside jokes, etc. I'm not interested in WBCCI right now (although I was recently invited to attend the Lousiville meeting - first time ever invited) but that should not be a debit to my contributions on the site. I just can't weed through the BS to get to the content that I'm really interested in anymore.
This site will grow in time. All sites take longer than expected to get going. Honestly, I'm really happy with the membership already. It'll be really great when we get more non-AS owners on here too (no offense). We all just need to make sure it doesn't become what the other site has become over time.

I could not agree more Steve. I find myself checkin in here as often or more than the other.
The most I seem to do there is read thru a few, and go to the "private" club section to interface with the folks we camp with. |

Too bad about Kent. I tried him also, but they made him a Moderator and I think he feels that is an honor and responsibility. Not a bad charactor attribute.
I tried to talk to Liepper as well. He was being savaged by some of them, but he still thinks he can reason with them. I don't.
For some of those folks the debate is entertainment. In today's culture of bad manners they are honing skills they learn from our politicians on the TV. |

Man, you hit that right on the head. I IM a guy I know out on the West Coast in Canada, he has an odd MH, hope he joins in on the fun here.
Kinda isolated up here in NH, not many older MH's I know of. The ones I do, don't know of the internet yet

That's just it. I have Pat370
twenty miles from me but his interests are different than mine.
He golfs and I like to fish.
The Motorhomes are few and far
between around here too. There is one up in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and I've PM'd
him a few times. I have cousins living in that town and may go up
this summer to see them and look him up. I think he's younger
though. I'm an old fart.
