My lovely Wife does a lot of her work
on the road and that enables us to travel more often. Instead of
sitting in the back at the table, or holding the computer in her lap, I
made her a folding table that fits right in front of the shotgun seat
up front. When not in use the center leg folds inward
and the table folds down. She loves it!

That is pretty cool. Your woodworking skills are impressive.
I've seen the slide out kind in newer Class A's and wondered if I could incorporate something into our dash.
How do you deal with power? Just an inverter? Also, what about internet access going down the road? |

For power we went to Radio Shack and
bought an inverter which plugs into the cigar lighter. Works
fine. As to the Internet, we have wifi at home, but when
traveling we do hit zones such as Minneapolis which is wiring the whole
city with wifi. Also most campgrounds have at least dial up
facilities these days. Lots of coffee shops have wifi and you
only need to be close by.

It occurs to me that a forum for this
kind of thing might be useful. Maybe call it build it yourself or
something like that. Also, I can't get the emoticans to work.

Actually, my wife likes it so much
that she has it in the house now and I need to make another as soon as
it gets a little warmer. I didn't make this one to elevate to
level, but the next one will have different settings and will be able
to elevate to level. I have already designed the new one to be
even lighter. I also hope to be able to fold it up and have a
carry handle.
I think this stuff is fun.

Hey, I like that design. Can I use it? I could use a table like that in the 345.

| Actually, I think the picture is sufficient for sizes. I'll adapt to our needs. Thanks. |
