Hello everyone, it has been a while sence our last visit. Just have a quick question, getting ready to tow our 2007 VW Rabbit for the first time. Wondering what the max tox capacity of our 310 actualy is, we plan to upgrade the hitch to a class 3.
Thanks |

| We tow our 2005 VW Jedda Diesel all the time with no problem. Our hitch has been upgraded to at least class III or heavier though. |

Thanks Cooperhawk,
We called the previous owner (the 2nd owner), and he said that the original owner towed a Jeep with it. The hitch is weled to the frame. While we were having Camping World in Chichester NH install a new Amana Range w/ cooktop they inspected the hitch and did not know the rating of the hitch but did say it was an excelent weld job.
By the way Camping world did an excellent job on the install. We were a little bit worried not doing it ourself. Their service dept was very aware that this was a classic mh and took ever measure to ensure the end result would be satisfactory. They adderssed ever minor modification that needed to be done. They shaparoned me through the shop, which was very clean. The only modification that was need was a support post under the counter top. He did not want to screw into the original counertop and damage it, so he installed the brace under the countertop all around. And the installer even came out and said every thing came out execelent. I agree. We will be going back for a new fridge in the future,

Thanks Make sure to upgrade your hitch. The original "bumper" hitch from Airstream was limited to 2000#s. Not enough for a Jetta.
Ours was upgraded by a previous owner to a class III...but we only two 1800# Super Beetle. Hardly know it's there.
