I have a question as to when do I use gen power and when do rely on Batt power? My batt set-up has 2 batt's and it has a diconnect. I was told that when I park I should dis-connect. When I disconnect what looks like a power bar I have no power to my coach and the inverter is not on. But if I reconnect the power bar my coach has lights and the inverter has a red led lite up? I am taking my very first trip ever in a rv and sure could use some words of wisdom...thanks

Your battery shut off is intended to prevent the batteries running down when the coach is not in use. The battery that powers the automotive portion of the coach should not be effected by it. Only the RV portion. When you are using the coach the batteries should be on. Most of us use the genset when we want AC or Microwave and we are not plugged into shore power. I often run mine on the road to power the coach AC's going down the road on hot days. If camping where there are no plug-ins you should run the genset to charge your batteries on a regular basis. You would have to learn the sequence yourself.
